The #65B Circle Shearing Machine is derived from the Blue Valley model #65B Circle Shear design, used for cutting blanks for Flanging and Dishing Machines. Shearing circle blanks, rather than burning them, produces cleaner cuts without heating the material. Material that has been heated on the edge will harden unevenly and not bend and flange as consistently. This hardened edge also causes more wear to the tooling on Flangers, specifically the segment rolls, which will need replaced more frequently when flanging burned blanks.
